Very slightly ahead of the #nanowrimo game, and pleased to have ~17k on a new story idea.

Slightly ahead of the game 2 days into #nanowrimo. Hopefully getting above the target 1667 daily word count during week 1 makes success feel more attainable. Any words are good words, though!

Writers HQ is a great community for #writingcommunity accountability (sprints & weekly writing retreats) and craft (lots of workshops devoted to plotting, etc).
The faster we find our followers here, the faster we can leave the dying bird site (we still rely on it a lot for site traffic!) so do a smol business a favour and share the shit out of us so we can find our gang. Pretty pretty please 🙏 🙏 🙏

Doctrines Prequel is at 77k. But I want it to feel more grandiose in scope (it takes place over decades), so it needs to be ~100k.
My curse is that I’m a chronic underwriter. I have to basically re-teach myself how to write scenes to get the right pacing.
