I’ve gifted myself tattoos relating to my research or major after each degree. A blue crab for my master’s and a Chrysaora jellyfish for my PhD. I also have a quote down my spine that reflects my double major undergrad degrees. Translated from Spanish it reads “My heart belongs to the sea.”

Hi, I’m Stacy! I’m interested in marine food webs and how jellyfish fit into those food webs. My current work is focusing on developing a model for benthic production on sand shoals in the Gulf of Mexico. I’m based in southern Louisiana, USA. 🦑
