AOC: "It is unconscionable that what we are debating right now is legislation that will give 8 senators over $1 million a piece & we're robbing people of their food assistance & healthcare to pay for it. How can we vote to enrich ourselves by stealing from the American people?"

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

This breaks me — because I can see my wife and daughter living through this.

I don’t trust DHS, and you shouldn’t either because it could happen to anyone. They’re on a mission, and it feels lawless as hell.

The House has voted to limit district court judges' ability to issue nationwide injunctions.

Just one Republican, Mike Turner of Ohio, joined all Democrats in opposing the bill.

The legislation is a direct response to judges who have blocked certain Trump actions.

Made about $7/hour. If you were lucky enough to move out on the floor to sew shirts, that’s where you could make the big bucks. Usually about $10/hour.

These are the types of jobs Trump plans to “bring back.” Low wage, back breaking manual labor. No unions. Working for pennies. Desperate work.

When elected officials see mass protests and then immediately adjust their behavior in response, that is a good thing. That's how this should work!

Celebrate Blumenthal for this. And then ask your own Dem senator what they're doing. And what Schumer is doing.
Breaking: Sen. Richard Blumenthal says he plans to place a hold on ALL Trump nominees going forward.

This will force Republicans to hold individual votes to override each hold, which will severely slow down their agenda.
