In general I think a lot of people go around with an idea in their head that wages under capitalism are determined by how much people need when the reality is that they are determined by a labor market where firms attempt to pay the lowest wages possible even if they are unlivable.

There is definitely an article to be written about how wwe trying to smother AEW, a company that isn’t a threat to them in any metric you can count besides maybe making the wages for pro wrestlers go up a bit, proves that capitalism isn’t about choice it’s about smothering any and all competition.
