Timeline cleanse because Mochi is so unserious. To him, everything's funny. He’s got nothing to regret.

Ok so despite the new class’s name of EBAT (Evidence Based Assessment and Treatment), I promise I didn’t invite this friend to guest lecture today.

New year. 12y/o asked why goals get copied & pasted year to year if I’m not completing them. The new year allows me to reflect on things I aspire toward, even if I don’t hit them (& sometimes I’m successful!). Here’s to getting a few of these knocked out so they aren’t showing up in 2026.

I know this wasn’t Matt’s first question (it’s almost done!! I was thinking of you when I wrote deadlines under challenges!).

The advice I give parents is “start the way you want to end”.

In other words, don’t do a Christmas Eve scavenger hunt from the pajama elves.
Your kid will expect it forever and ever amen. It will get increasingly difficult to make engaging but kid will want it forever.
Anyhow…year 8 in the books.
