I had the pleasure of watching Shin Godzilla: ORTHOchromatic at my local indie theatre tonight. Love that movie, and getting to see it in black & white was a treat.

My printer got me the pre-production copy of Emergence for my birthday! Looking good!
Emergence, a new Mothership zine module, sits in partly sun and shade, still inside protective shrink wrap on an outdoor sofa. The cover features a doomed inmate in yellow jumpsuit losing their mind while simultaneously losing form. Wisps of pink and green flowing outward from the right side of their face. Emergence is held open to the Quick Reference and Table of Contents. It’s a mix of black blocks of headings and short references in two column layout. The pages have printed texture and have multi-colour ink-blot-like splashes in the white space.

Taking a break from layout for Emergence to have some mark-making fun. This is the corporation that controls the prison in the module. I 3D printed some stamps! Nevermind that I forgot to mirror the shape 😅

Still some work to be done, but stamp ink worked way better than Speedball block print ink.
