Never gave it much thought before, but now see my ski mits as a peaceful and quiet show of resistance. #ProudCanadian

A kutia stain on the ceiling and watching my girls learn how to make kolach from their great grandma’s recipe was so worth it. May peace find its way in this world. #UkrainianChristmas

Cities that invest in people, invest in libraries. They are a reflection of how leaders take care of the community. Some are architectural wonders, like the Central Library in Calgary, Alberta. My library card is gold.

Head Warmer, Storm of 1999, #JackLayton raised $ for United Way Homelessness Fund. I can still see his big smile with Olivia as they worked the crowd for such a great cause. I cherish this as a reminder to have courage and be kind.

Candles made by a group of nuns to raise money for charity. I got the tree as the thought of lighting the head of an angel just seemed wrong. Sharing because peace and joy seems to belong here and now.

Though “review and respond “ can mean a lot, I am going with honest intent from a leader who cares. My mom died. My sister went to her grave unresolved that she couldn’t protect mom due to the NB NH Act. We all need laws that give us a fighting chance. May the stars will shine brighter tonight.

Susan Holt delivered an important message - trust is earned. It was not okay for a #LTC operator to evict my mom for feeling lack of trust. It’s not okay to have Leg that lets them to do it again. It is hopeful to see the Advocate’s report which my mom and our family informed a priority. #nbpoli

My 87 year old m-in-law made a brave decision to sell and move to a bungalow in a life lease seniors community. It has been a joy helping with the transition. #LTC institutions are not the #housing alternative seniors and people with disability want. I can’t wait to hear about the club house!

Same for establishing fair complaints process in #LTC though meaningless without implementing recommendations to protect seniors from eviction if they or family raise concerns. Happy to see reference to Advocates LTC recommendations covered across SD, Health, and AG.
