trying to get to luton airport parkway from bedford, train announcement said no trains will go there & all will terminate at luton. train staff insisted this wasnt true, they promised, crossed their heart, laid down their lives that i would make it there. unbelievably, i’m currently stuck in luton

i was dreading my journey back home today, fully expecting to pass away on a train carriage but so far it’s been the smoothest journey i’ve probably ever had, a true christmas miracle

i wish i had a good answer to why i’m listening to the ben platt cover of joni mitchell’s river at 8 minutes past midnight. i also wish i had a river etc etc

i was stuck on a train for 9 hours yesterday but i am thanking my lucky stars that i didn’t wait until today to travel with all the train drama i’m seeing, and now this concludes my train posting. for now (threatening)

it’s actually kind of impressive how uk trains continue to outdo themselves, i tell myself they cant possibly get any worse, but then my train is delayed by 40 minutes because of hm? whats that??? RAIN YOU SAY??? rain.
