I work in this field. I will always tell you to research your local “top tier” food pantries. They are the ones who are truly serving your community every day. I work at one here in NC, our ED’s salary is below $70k yr, but we gave out $3m in assistance last yr. F.A. = Second Harvest, etc

I absolutely this. I’m in NC and I feel all of this because that was all I could think of as I was having to call 911 on a crash we came up on tonight. We stopped and it was an older Asian woman we were helping. Another group stop and they were Latinx, and all I could think of was pls no🧊
