I talked with friends yesterday who want to buy a new mattress and bed frame, mentioning the name of the brand we bought three years ago. Guess what is now flooding my FB feed.... #NoPrivacy #TechIsListening

There should be ZERO argument during the holiday season about what is the best pie. Pumpkin, apple, pecan, mince meat, sweet potato, chocolate, or combinations of any of the above - they are all delicious to some of us. "Best" is subjective. Let's leave it at that.

I know the feeling, Steven. It will haunt me for the rest of my days...
No matter how long I live after we get through this dark chapter, I will never get over the immorality, the amorality, the corruption, the criminality and the cruelty in service to one of the worst humans to ever walk the earth.

Here’s a disheartening glimpse inside Dept of Ed—lost morale, locked out of accounts, etc.

As someone involved in post-secondary education late in my career (Dean at a California Community College), I am APPALLED at the decision to cap student loans for these advanced (and very professional) degrees. I'm fucking pissed.
“The Department of Education said what now? Nursing is ‘no longer a professional degree’? Tell that to the nurses who kept this country alive while half of Washington was playing political cosplay.

When you admit or even act like you're a fan of soulless oligarchs like Musk, Bezos, Thiel or Zuckerberg, you're aligning with people who just want to further divide and distract us.

They don't give a shit about humanity...only themselves, their power and wealth.

Wake up.

The Dog That Didn't Bark

“Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?”

“To the curious incident of the dog in the night- time.”

“The dog did nothing in the night-time.”

“That was the curious incident,” remarked Sherlock Holmes.

Update: per the Office of Personnel Management, NO postal service health benefit plans will offer gender affirming care. Not surprising, since this is part of Project 2025's efforts to erase trans people. #FDJT
My hubby is a postal retiree, and today is the first day of open enrollment for healthcare benefits (I'm covered as his spouse). We have had Aetna Direct, which works with Medicare, since 2022. Overall, we've been happy with it. Today we received the letter from Aetna with changes for 2026. 🧵 /1
