I use beeswax! But a lot of online tutorials on using soy wax are hanging around for wax melts. For making the herb ones tho, I used this page below, but kinda tweaked it a little and used trial and error to figure out what worked best.

I make my own using herbs and such. Anything you put in a simmer pot, you can generally turn into a wax melt. Since it's not on fire, it's just kept warmed, it's easier to not worry about fire safety with them.
