Silent film pioneer Alice Guy-Blanche loved to 1968 and lived in France when Waiting for Godot premiered. She later moved to Wayne, NJ so she could have seen Bonnie and Clyde in theatres.

here's how time works:

GenX hated Blockbuster Video bcz it destroyed so many indie video stores.

Millennials loved Blockbuster Video for the same reason GenX loved the indie video stores.

Now we're both the same. We all miss our childhood video stores.

Battle of the British accents in MAN HUNT (Fritz Lang, 1941). Walter Pidgeon makes a half-hearted stab at RP. Joan Bennett gives cockney (at least, I think it’s supposed to be cockney) the works. Accents aside, the interplay between them is a delight.
