Not a lot of pretty football (in any Spurs games today) but Spurs Women gave us that rarest of rare treats - a Martha Thomas goal - we got peeks at Molly and Kit, and most importantly we top the group and are through to the Subway Cup QFs. 🥪🏆#COYS

The big thing so far this season is the cutting out of errors. There will inevitably be a couple over the season as a whole but this explains a large part of the difference we've seen. #concentration #COYS

Who needs goals when a 0-0 feels that good? Only the third time we've taken points off them in the WSL. Let's strengthen in Jan and take all 3 points in the reverse fixture. #COYS

Martha Thomas on the pitch. After two goalless years can she repeat her NLD magic?

That half seemed to last forever. But Spurs were confident on the ball, showed intent and quality at times and didn't lose focus. Still needed Lize to be alert and she has been. Tinka strong. Eve doing a lot of work. Olivia's ball carrying has been 👌. 45 to go. Just need a ⚽!!

This is the 1st game we were competitive within but lost. LCL are probably our main rivals for 'best of the rest' & were good. But we had chances we didn't convert & made silly errors. The positives: Tinka's confident pen & Ev's sublime FK. The reverse fixture is now must win.

Lineup for our away and at LCL.

Two changes to last time out. Both like for like (and both were in-game subs vs Liverpool). Ash in for Josefine and Tinka for Beth. #COYS

Today's WSL results mean that if Spurs can win tomorrow we move into the Champions League places. Draw and we jump Arsenal to 4th. Lose and we stay in 5th.

👀 Interesting reflections on Spurs from the manager of LCL in this piece. Reveals that LCL tried and failed to recruit Toko Koga.

Lineup is out!

Beth starts at 9 (Olivia at 10 and Tilly on the wing). Tinka on the bench. Ev starts (so her injury must not be as bad as we feared 🎉). Drew's also back 💪. Josefine at RB - Ash on the bench. Otherwise v similar to previous games. #COYS

A v bad result for Finland this evening. Good for Denmark, and for Olivia who came on and got an assist.

But Eveliina went off with an injury so potentially bad news for Spurs. Don't have details of what it was yet. 😰😰

Wrote a little about Jess Naz for @thecutback.com.web.brid.gy in this piece. And while looking at her stats was shocked to see she's currently 10th in the WSL for blocks! (Less surprised that Clare Hunt is first for both blocks and clearances). 😤

BTW, that penalty point last time out is looking to have been v important.

A solid win. Moments of individual and team quality were the difference against a strong Birmingham side. Plus the defensive organisation that is becoming a feature of this team. Top of the group. One game to play. #COYS 💪
