I did find the first couple of episodes a bit clunky on the dialogue, especially Jaskier, but it found its stride after that. Maybe a writer issue.

We just finished it and Cavill/Hemsworth comparisons aside, we both thought it was better than season 3, certainly from a storytelling perspective. I haven’t read the books (yet) so can’t really comment on the accuracy of evolution of Gerault’s character but they do try to explain it.
