I went and priced it out at 3am because why bother sleeping when my brain can eat itself alive with anxiety - cheapest remanufactured locally is $1900, shop charges $140/hr for labour, minimum 8 possibly 12 hour job so.. if that's the case, might be affordable. If that's all that's wrong.

It's long experience with catastrophic car issues, I'm just not expecting it to be a (relatively) cheap fix like an idler pulley. I'm expecting "It'll cost $10k to replace the transmission." Not going to be doing a lot of sleeping while I wait for the news. The anxiety's eating me alive.

VitalChek has a 10 week turnaround time. I only have one copy of my docs, I'm not willing to trust them to USPS.

3 days might not be enough, to be honest. It's what I've allotted, though, because that's as much time as I'm willing to dedicate to banging my head on that particular wall.
