Jill led them over to a shovel sticking out of a suspicious mound of dirt that had probably been there for quite a while.

"You know, maybe we shouldn't tell Aelia about this," Nine suggested.

"Maybe not," the teens agreed.

Johnny wrinkled his nose, "That's so dumb, just get out at the edge of the pool."

"It was a simpler time," Nine shrugged.

"Uhm, guys?" Jill interrupted, "I think I found something."
June 13, 2025 at 12:59 AM
"See for yourself," Johnny suggested to Nine, who wandered over to stand beside the two.

"Ah, it seems as though the ladder was taken away while someone was still in the pool," Nine concluded.

"So?" Ophelia lofted a brow.

"Back in the day, ladders were essential for entering and leaving pools."

Looking down into the (mostly) empty pool was the very obvious outline of a body.

"So...do we tell anyone, or..?" Johnny winced.

"I mean..." Ophelia trailed off as she side glanced Johnny.

"What aren't we telling anyone?" Nine called from the back porch, making the teens jump.

Meanwhile, the teens (and Jill) went to clean the backyard.

"Oh my Watcher!" Ophelia exclaimed, causing Johnny to spin around in surprise.

"What's wrong?" Johnny questioned, his eyes widening the moment he stood beside his girlfriend and looked down, "...Oh my Watcher."

The adults started inside, cleaning through each room and bagging up trash as they went. Other than the layers of dust, grime and graffiti over everything, the furniture was mostly in good condition.
June 12, 2025 at 11:32 PM
"Hey, Johnny, isn't that your handwriting?" Jill questioned innocently, gesturing towards the graffiti covering the walls.

"Nothing some paint and elbow grease won't fix!" Johnny said loudly, giving his little sister a gentle shove. He swiftly headed towards the house while Ophelia chuckled.

It was a quaint house neighboring the Smith's. It had good potential, but seemed to have been abandoned for awhile.

"It needs a little work, but the structure seems stable," Nine commented while Johnny eyed his father with a muttered, "a little?"

"It is magnificent, is it not?"

"It's... something, dear!" Jenny smiled awkwardly as Aelia gushed over the thing she had bought with the cupcake simoleans. The rest of the Smith family looked on with varying levels of befuddlement.
February 17, 2025 at 10:40 PM
She hadn't expected her small invention would resonate so much with sims, but the sudden influx of simoleons gave her an idea.

"Auntie, you gotta see this!" Johnny exclaimed, hardly waiting for Aelia to be out of the pool before shoving the paper in her face. "You're rich!"

Aelia read over Coral Oldie's flowery handwriting about how the cupcake pan's popularity was soaring and the sizeable royalties that went with it.
January 22, 2025 at 10:11 PM
Jill thought about that a moment before nodding, "Guess so." She confirmed before suddenly splashing her aunt with a giggle.

"Ah, curse your sudden, but inevitable betrayal!" Aelia exclaimed jokingly, reaching out for the fleeing child before some commotion distracted her.
January 22, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Somehow she still found time for a little rest and relaxation as well.

"Auntie, do aliens melt in the water?" Jill asked innocently, peering up at Aelia on the floatie.

"That would mean you would half melt, wouldn't it?" Aelia questioned with a smile.

She also spent quite a lot of time inventing with the company's Robotic Invention Constructor Hub, or Richie as she had fondly started calling him. She even tweaked his AI to better think for himself and offer ideas, much to the Beaker's annoyance.

Maybe getting her ship stolen was a setback, but Aelia didn't let that stop her. Besides gathering material for her new ship, work had become quite an enjoyable pastime. Especially with Cassandra and Pascal.
January 22, 2025 at 10:04 PM
Jenny gave Aelia a sympathetic smile, "you can use Nine's old sleeping pod for parts, too!"

Nine inhaled as if to protest but gave a nod, "I suppose it's just taking up space."

"And then we'll have space in the garage for your greenhouse." Jenny reminded, perking Nine up.

After Aelia explained her dilemma, Nine shook his head, "Perhaps it was that dastardly Grunt."

"I doubt it, honey." Jenny sighed.

"Either way, you have gathered quite a lot of scrap. We could simply make a new ship." Nine suggested.
January 19, 2025 at 4:41 AM
"My ship has been stolen." Aelia lamented, wandering over the couch and collapsing onto it.

"Stolen?" Nine echoed, clearly perplexed.

"Did someone steal our lawn gnome again?" Jenny called, only hearing part of the conversation as she headed down from upstairs.
January 19, 2025 at 4:39 AM
Aelia made her way back home in low spirits and attempted to slink away into the garage to pout before Nine caught her.

“Your aura is that of sadness." He pointed out bluntly, gesturing to the blue haze before coaxing her over.
January 19, 2025 at 4:38 AM
She took a moment to mourn her lost ship before investigating further. Other than a few pieces of forgotten scrap, the entire ship had up and vanished. Or rather, it had been moved by a 'vehicle' far larger than the scooter she used to get to work, judging by the tire marks.
January 19, 2025 at 4:35 AM
It was gone.

She had been able to clear most of the rubble and was nearly ready to move it to a safer location, but it looked as though someone had beaten her to it.
January 19, 2025 at 4:33 AM
And when she wasn't spending time with her new friend group, Aelia had been picking away at the wreckage of her old ship. She had made some good headway and was confident that she could fix it with the scrap she had been collecting from work.

Except there was one problem.

"Why don't you try it, too?" Cass called back.

"Oh, heck no! I'd break my neck!" Brandi sang, "I'll just be relaxing in the sauna!"
January 6, 2025 at 2:16 AM
"How do you keep that pose so long?" Cass complained, not enjoying being the clear novice in the class.

Brandi gave her a 'thumbs up' from near the door. "Keep it up, hon, I'm sure you'll get it!"
January 6, 2025 at 2:14 AM
Since she had come to enjoy it so much, Aelia put together a weekly spa date with her friends. They started off with yoga and while Aelia and Jenny always had a good time, the same could not be said for Cassandra and Brandi.
