New: Google has chosen a side in Trump's mass deportation campaign. Google is hosting a CBP facial recognition app to hunt immigrants; no indication Google will remove. At same time Google takes down apps for reporting ICE sightings

NYT editors put "Claudine Gay" in "top 5 featured on the New York Times homepage Dec 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 22, 25"

(While they put Trump calling for Constitution's "termination" on page 15 and his chief of staff's "tyrant" warning on 12)

Christopher Rufo openly bragged about the plans!

a helpful guide to bsky moderation:

Johnny Cash lyrics:
- 🚫
- bad
- very threatening
- dangerous rhetoric very scary
- bannable

"Enjoy the camps":
- ✅
- actually good
- not threatening at all
- definitely not intimidation predominantly used on minorities

Adding this to point out that the NYT is now on the record saying "editors *discovered* his failure to abide by our ethical standards" (emphasis mine)

This strongly suggests a termination for cause, which typically involves an internal investigation. So, what else did his editors "discover"?
Landon Thomas’s behavior seems to be embarrassing enough to the Times hierarchy that they had their spokesman go on record insinuating to the Post that he was fired for cause. I wonder whether legal signed off on that. nypost.com/2025/11/12/u...

They should study journalists’ brains like they do with football players after they die.
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

Just realized I accidentally did some journalism.
Seems easier to ask you.

How many stories _did_ Jared try to kill?

How many _did_ you let him kill?

How many times _did_ he threaten to fire you when you didn't let him kill a story?

One thing that has sort of surprised me is that it does really seem like the desire to be ruled by a powerful fascist daddy is stronger in the median elite journalist than in the median voter.

"Not excusing the NYT's political coverage, but"
Not excusing the NYT's political coverage, but this person makes an important point. The reason legacy media falls all over itself to cover BS like Benghazi, Hunter Biden's laptop, Hilary's server, etc. is because the entire GOP and their media apparatus takes official actions to make them a story.

Whereas a guy emailing a reporter about Zohran Mamdani ticking the black-or-African-American box on his college application warrants _multiple_ NYT stories? Come on.

I note how central Me Too was to the great backlash against The Tyranny Of The Left, and I again wonder how good everyone feels about having helped the great anti-wokeness backlash against people saying police shouldn’t racistly murder people and rich men should be prosecuted for their sex offences.
“The President sent his lawyer to negotiate a settlement with a convicted sex trafficker to provide cushy accommodation in exchange for her silence on his participation in said sex trafficking” is a cold description of the facts of an insane story that the media doesn’t find worthy of scrutiny

Whenever Ken Starr returns to the news, it's fun to remember that one deputy investigating Bill Clinton (and Vice Foster) was ... Brett Kavanaugh!

Extra fun to remember that GWBush FL Recount team in 2000 included Brett K, J Roberts, AC Barrett.

Plus help from FL gov Jeb Bush. Good times!
Ken Starr emailing with Epstein in 2018 is a really interesting thing to learn about!!!!!!

(Anyone else notice how the black President between Clinton & Trump wasn't super tight with Epstein?)
