also FYI it comes in both topical and pill form; topical is more effective however it’s INCREDIBLY toxic to cats so i wouldn’t recommend that route if u have cat children.

finasteride is a DHT blocker so it prevents hair loss and stops bottom growth but minoxidil actually stimulates new hair growth! my doctor says it’s way more effective at combatting hair loss than finasteride for that reason :)

unfortunately i’m vain and started minoxidil pills like a week ago 😩 avoiding finasteride for the same reason lmao
