This piece has me beyond frustrated… It conflates so many things, blends truths and untruths, assumes correlation is causation, somehow blames everything on democrats, and is written as journalistic analysis and not opinion.

Agree. It’s horrific in its own right, and it epitomizes this administration — ripping down our institutions and building a guilded homage to himself while snap funds dry up and our neighbors are kidnapped by masked men.

I think this was true post inauguration, too. The media was proclaiming people were apathetic, but everyone on the local level was working on mutual aid, strengthening community, and also (for those of us who had canvassed tirelessly) taking a breath and waiting for the next mobilization.

Democrats need to take back the narrative. This is about CIVIL RIGHTS. They need to fight for civil rights and human rights.
