Rumour has it they've reunited, although the drummer has blown up

I was a little disappointed about the band not using its new-fangled guitar amps, which are purported to go to infinity.

Why is Trump waging a war on the Department of Education?

Because he knows that his biggest enemies are educators and younger generations of learners who are unafraid to speak truth to power.

Attacks on education are central to the fascist playbook.

Literally all they had to do was calmly condemn Musk’s dishonest & inciteful attack on their parliamentary colleague, Jess Phillips. And they couldn’t even manage that. Absolutely shameful.

What is wrong with some people? Manners cost nothing.
The husband of Republican senator Deb Fischer just refused to shake hands or make eye contact with Vice President Harris.

The level of class you can expect from MAGA.

Musk’s X is intensifying the radicalisation of the UK right. They loudly, uncritically support Trump. Johnson compares Labour with Harold Shipman. Jenrick rushes to use the Magdeburg tragedy for political ends.
They’re Musk’s useful idiots: envoys of hatred and intolerance. Incapable of integrity.

Remember it’s not normal for a FBI director - appointed by the president-elect himself to serve a 10 year term 7 years ago - to resign in this way, and it’s normal to nominate someone as unqualified as Patel to replace him.

None of this is normal - and should not be normalized by the news media!
FBI Director Chris Wray resigns following Trump nomination of Patel
FBI Director Chris Wray will step down from his post early next year, the bureau said on Wednesday, after Republican President-elect Donald Trump signaled his intent to fire the veteran official and replace him with firebrand Kash Patel.

Vividly recall many on so-called progressive wing of politics being hyper-critical of Blair. We finished up with something much worse post-2010. Same pattern manifesting itself re: Starmer. This time, that risks a political outcome even worse post-2029.
