Was at a book launch on Tuesday and every section had a different ornament, and they were all Aotearoa flora and fauna at like 12 pt and it was GLORIOUS

I mean, you could take out street parking and you'd be pretty sweet. It feels like carving up the whole area just so someone can park on the street. Parking is already fairly tight in the area, but hopefully good quality transit options will resolve that!

I'm trying to figure out whether becoming a full professor does something to the chemistry of your brain and you start to support this stupid bullshit, or the people who make full professor are good at hiding that they think like this until they're promoted.
