For me, I usually have screen off time. By such and such a time I try to have my phone off or away, no screen time. It has helped me tremendously. I believe in you Borkie. :)

i’ve seen some retirement ages in plans go real low, like 59. can’t collect social security for another few years either. 65 is common in retirement plans.

Also, I see more people working post retirement. It’s sad. More plans closing lately. More people taking loans against their plan right now.

The retirement age being 65 needs to get out of people’s head. If you were born after 1960, your retirement age is 67. Expect it to be 70 when you get there because it keeps getting pushed back.

Some retirement plans can have a 401k specific age to take out your money too.

Even if 1% of people check it out and out of that 1%, another 1% play and become members, that’s 20k more players. Not that many people play everyday but chess is huge on youtube.

Both hobbies are sedentary. Work on mobile. Easy to pick up.

Just gotta keep fighting the good fight. Let people know where you stand. Heck, even vote with your dollar if you’re willing. Think about it long term. I know it doesn’t help now, but keep doing what you can.
