The house would have to sign it first which means they would come back into session. Which means that Grijalva would be sworn in. Which means there would be a vote on Epstein.

If the Democrats are unable to win a sizable victory from this position, then they are just inept. The Republicans are losing badly.

If the Democrats end the shutdown in exchange for only ACA subsidies then they have lost. The Republicans are stuck between a rock and a hard place, and all the Democrats will have done is help them wiggle out. Tarriffs, Medicaid, ICE... pick one

ACA subsidies are not enough. Medicaid must also be included at the very least.

MAGA is not ready for the blowback it will get from their own base if SNAP doesn't get paid. That being said, I am incredulous that it will happen. They dont call him Taco for nothing

If there is going to be a stand alone bill to fund SNAP then the Houss will need to be called back into session, and the Democrats should not proceed until Grijalva is sworn in.
