Thanks for the share. I enjoyed the talk.

@gandersocial.bsky.social I am curious about Wingspan and how you are thinking about data standards and interoperability. Is this what ATmosphere is used for, or something else?

Have you considered a collaboration with orgs like opennorth.ca or theodi.org?

Rowing has always been the one cardio exercise I enjoy. The one where I can get into a flow state and time just melts away. This journey taught me that I'm capable of resilience, merely showing up matters more than I realized, and a quiet commitment can carry you further than you'd think. 9/9

When I logged my final workout on November 21st, the spreadsheet tallied 1,000.1 km. Not 1,000.0, not 1,001. Just 100 meters over the line. It wasn't entirely intentional, but somehow it felt fitting. Over 103,000 strokes, 82 hours, and nearly a full year. 8/9

I briefly considered spreading the extra distance across those final sessions, but then I thought, screw it, and cranked out an 8.2 km session on the second-to-last Friday. My longest of the year at 42 minutes. A final push to bring it home. 7/9

By my initial calculation, I'd planned to finish by week 50 with two weeks to spare. As the final weeks approached, I realized I was going to cross the finish line in week 47, three weeks ahead of schedule. I was about 2 km short going into that last week. 6/9

I also discovered I could listen to audiobooks while rowing, though only non-technical ones like autobiographies or narrative nonfiction. Technical books require too much focus which slows down time. I recommend "This Is for Everyone" written by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, and read by Stephen Fry. 5/9

I improved too. Those first workouts in January, I was covering just over 5.5 km in about 30 minutes at a 2:46 pace (time to row 500m). By the end, I was rowing 6.5 km in the same time at a 2:27 pace. Tangible proof that consistency compounds. 4/9

The spreadsheet became an anchor. I'd built a cushion early on, knowing there would be curveballs. Watching myself stay ahead of schedule even through the gaps gave me a quiet confidence. The early discipline paid dividends when life got complicated. 3/9

I learned a lot about myself over 318 days and 158 workouts. I learned that I can show up and try my best even when skipping would be easier. When life happened, I still showed up. When I got sick or traveled for weeks, I came back and picked up where I left off. 2/9

Ah. I see it is @getfact.bsky.social from the strategic partner page.

I found the option. It wasn’t clear initially, but there are a few options available. Thanks.

"There will be built-in fact checking and bias-checking. We’re using an API for an existing platform."

@gandersocial.bsky.social can you share which platform this is? I am a user of @groundnews.bsky.social and it would be cool to have this feature powered by a fellow Canadian company.

Any ETA on supporting 2FA methods other than email, such as passkeys or TOTPs? 🤞
