I've got like 3-4 chapters to write between the latest full chapter and a big climax in 4mdd... it's been real slow work joining it together. i've already written the climax part and it whips, but trying to build up to it after the fact is such... dissatisfying work

Resigned to accepting that I just do not enjoy doing any kind of layout/UI work... it's my least favourite part of game and engine dev... I don't have the patience to get better at it... never found an engine or method that clicked for me and didn't feel like gruelling trial and error...

somehow hurt my foot while sleeping (??) and now I can't put weight on it without it hurting. my 30s really paying off so far
