I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.
As a big calcio fan, I always bristle when people use the old ‘boring, defensive’ cliches because by and large they aren’t true these days, but today, well…

TNT/Discovery Plus in the UK just sacking off showing Paris-Tours wholesale? What the fuck are we paying £31 a month for?

Similar to last year in some ways. Pog attack with 100km to go with a trade team mate (Sivakov last year iirc) before dropping them and winning solo (safe to assume he won’t be caught from here).

No way Pog and Del Toro are getting caught here.

Remco what the hell.

Noticed that after the Discovery+ app/website have updated, there seem to be no ad-free options for cycling coverage whereas for the worlds TTs earlier this week there were. I’ve emailed for clarification but looks like the enshittification of the UK’s TV cycling coverage is complete.

"When you put people's lives in danger, that's where lines are crossed." Yes. Which is what is being protested. Putting people's live in danger. Killing them in their thousands.

Can’t believe the majority of mine don’t have photos.

This is magical stuff from PFP. Brilliant to see.

On a personal level, I’m glad Kim Le Court is in yellow so I can tell her and Kopecky apart.

Discovery+/TNT are absolute shithouses. There was an ad-free Tour de France Femmes stream yesterday but they seem to have nipped it in the bud after one stage.

Only just realising now that Peyragudes and Courchevel are two completely different places. I thought there was only one high altitude steep runway used regularly in the Tour.

In real danger of zoning out like during the Froome years. Couldn’t tell you much of what happened in the 2016/17 races.

What a hero. Will never understand why most cyclists are so weird about ankle socks.

No categorised climbs in tomorrow’s Tour stage? Put the mortgage on Alberto Dainese.

Thinking back, TNT did a similar thing during the Le Mans 24 Hours. There was a non-TV feed available but it had YouTube-style pop-up ads every so often. You could re-load the feed to get rid of them but was annoying to have to do that every 30-ish mins. Taken it to the next level now with the Tour.
i do think it's kind of crazy that iirc discovery+ just hasn't put out a statement or sent an email informing customers paying £31 a month that the uninterrupted coverage they were promised is not in place during the tour de france, the biggest race of the year.

Simon Yates redemption on the Finestre. What an incredible stage, you just couldn’t write it.

The extent to which the TNT Giro commentators are bigging Albania up is quite stark. RCS clearly enforcing certain buzzwords.

@adamsummerton.bsky.social Can we make Tony Talks Tomatoes a regular feature?

Glad I turned that back on.

Just thought to myself ‘maybe we’ll get an unexpected winner given it’s been about 3 years since Mat Hayman won’.

9. It’s been 9 years.

The only time I can recall Pog ever being brought back after going solo was that Tour stage last year where Vingegaard beat him.

Flanders commentators saying “if these four don’t bring him back, they’ve done something wrong”.

King Küng is so unlucky to be alive at the same time as MVDP, Pog, WVA, Remco and Ganna. If he was in his prime 10 years ago I reckon he’d have won monuments and world TT titles.

Eurosport seems to be back from the dead for Women’s DDV.

Yes mate.
Putting it out there early that Powless is going to win this like Stannard at Omloop 2015.
