The kid in my advisory who was held back twice, who flunked summer school and was flunking all of his classes, is now on track to pass all of his classes. The deal is that if he does this he gets moved up to 7th grade but still gets to stay in my advisory.

Ohhhhkay, here is what I am taking for my headaches-
Tylenol
Imitrex (for migraine)
REAL Sudafed (I found some today and hoped that would help)
Nothing works. I swear even my hair hurts.
Glad I have an appointment in three days because I had this all last winter and it was not great!

Ohhhhkay, here is what I am taking for my headaches-
Tylenol
Imitrex (for migraine)

At school we had students write Gratitude Letters to teachers (I have some thoughts on that) but I also received this one from a colleague, and it is a keeper. This kid is a good egg.
My thought though- A week of advisory curriculum for kids on Gratitude had a whiff of the old Grit BS.+

The trickiest kid in the middle school is in my advisory. This week I got him to read aloud for me and agree to go to office hours with his ELA teacher on Monday so I can help him take a test. It sounds small but it felt like a big win.

When I took trauma informed training and neurodivergence informed training , I was validated in my thoughts that some people need movement or sensory to regulate.
