I was pointing out that nothing was incorrect about his grip and how he was holding the weapon. Now should he have been pointing it at the camera? Definitely not. Which means he was generally being unsafe with the gun. Perhaps I did not word things coherently originally.

Yes, just pointing out that he’s not holding the gun incorrectly and has no intention to shoot, which makes it slightly better I suppose

It doesn’t really matter in this case, he’s not trying to actually shoot anyone and get in trouble. It’s tilted at an angle which doesn’t do much except make you less accurate and his finger is completely off the trigger. He’s just trying to keep these people from taking a picture of him lol

I'm not even Canadian, I live in America which obviously has a history of doing some really, really messed up stuff to these people over the years. From my perspective I think a holiday is a good idea if people will actually recognize it, but it's not the end-all be-all answer.

We need to do more than just make people stop for 10 seconds to think about how terrible their grandparents were to indigenous people. Contrary to popular belief, bringing marginalized stories into center stage is only the first step towards reconciling our nation's past, not the solution.

There certainly could be a day for these people, but it can't stop there; if that is a day it should be a holiday where people go out of their way to find the people and families affected by this. Help them out, take out their trash, donate them money or flowers. The holiday itself does nothing.

My only issue with AI is that it's using the work of established artists. So if we're stealing stuff from people doing their best to create beauty in an ugly world then that really rubs me the wrong way. This, however feels like hating on AI for the sake of hating on AI.

The source is here, admittedly it’s not the most reliable but I think the idea gets across. It’s a map of which counties voted for Trump vs Kamala so I’m not sure how it’s shifted since 2024.

It's 7, but to make it a lil more cursed it's running on a 2007 Macbook. The experience isn't amazing (it struggles to write text in a browser for some reason) but it works for what I need lol. I typed this comment on it lol

They'd be spending a minimum of like $1500 for gaming performance roughly equivalent to a laptop 4060. And if you're putting in a discrete gpu why even bother with the strix halo?
Now if they just slapped the Van Gogh in a NUC with SteamOS for like $250? now *that* could clean up.

I don't know where you stand religiously but I want you to know that God loves you and has plans for you despite the tragedy that might befall you. And there are people praying for you. I know I'm a total stranger on the internet but I really hope this is reassuring somehow.

Tupac once had a quote about roses growing out of the sidewalk, this idea that beauty and joy can arise out of the ugliest, most messed up things in ways that you can never anticipate.

And that doesn't make it easier to lose someone, but it's a part of the human condition that makes you realize that relationships can transcend political and religious boundaries.
