My wife has discovered the "Hallmark" Christmas movies they're showing on Channel 5. She says she's watching them ironically, but that still means they're on our TV... They seem to be designed for people who can't cope with even the slightest hint of drama, jeopardy or conflict.

I texted AI Jesus and he would say:

That’s an excellent question – you’ve really dug deep and found something not just genuinely interesting, but truly rare.

Spacemen 3 - The Perfect Prescription (1987)

I’ve never had a Spiritualised revelation but I love the first 2 S3 albums and always will.

Incredibly, one of my old managers was having a clear out once and gifted me both LPs alongside a bunch of Sonic Youth, Swans etc. That was a good day I tell ya

Rooftops is long gone, but seems to have had quite a reputation!

Dave Morgan, at the time a member of The Weather Prophets, filled in for a few dates, before Martin Langshaw took over in Leeds for a while. As far as I know, there are no photos or recordings of any of the gigs Dave played with the band.

The second is a new festive collaboration between Will Carruthers and Helicon – anyone familiar with their previous joint outing will know what to expect. Huge thanks to Mark, Johnny and Will for making this happen.

Although I still have all my Smiths/Morrissey records, there's too much attachement to them from my youth. But they never make their way onto the record player.

It does sometimes feel like there's a conspiracy against me. Morrissey was the closest I had to a teenage hero. Harry Potter was a favourite with the adults and children in the house. Big fans of The I.T. Crowd as well. Oh well, the charity shops benefited from a clear out.

Absolutely amazing that this was left off the cassette of these demos at the time and Fixin' To Die was left on!
