I will be raising money for #bbcchildreninneed by walking (continuously with a few 2 minute breaks) between Dawn and Dusk on November 10th.

Any donations, however small would be appreciated by BBC Children In Need.

Details on the image about how to donate.

On the spur of the moment, after work, I caught a mid afternoon train to Dawlish for an afternoon stroll and was spoiled with all these scenes and more! It was such a treat after a very busy weekend. I filmed a little video which I will publish soon!

It’s another glorious blue sky morning in Aberdeen in Scotland.

I really didn’t appreciate this city when I lived here about 37 years ago. The architecture and the vibe of the place overall is lovely.

Flying back to England later with a new appreciation for this place.

Hello Simon,

How about Hungry like the wolf - Duran Duran?

I like that the district supervisor’s name mentioned in the article is Peter Wolf 🐺 ! Very apt 🤣

I’m on a half a shift today (4 hours), so on a whim, decided to take the SLOW way to work!

🚶 I walked the 7.3 miles in 2 hours:20 minutes (with a farm shop picnic at #rumwellfarmshop) Google suggested it would take me 3 hours & 15 minutes, so I’m pleased that I did it in that time! Bus home! 🚌

First radio interview for our local community radio station recorded yesterday at this beautiful church in Trull.

It’s the first time I have been on the interviewing side of things.

I enjoyed editing it last night.

The more I think about ideas for the radio show I will be involved with (5 pages of an A5 notebook so far!) the more I realise what a fabulous place Taunton is to live in.

We have SO much going on in the county town and so many interesting groups, events and places to visit.

Absolutely loved co-presenting the Drive Time Show on #applefmtaunton (second time doing it) today!

Hoping to be back there to help with another drive time show in a few weeks time!

It’s hard to get exercise either side of work when I am on my feet all day, but sunshine, lambs and fields of buttercups just a few minutes jog from home, I could not resist in this morning’s sunshine! ☀️☀️ 🏃🏼

Good morning Simon,
The first song that came to mind is ‘Slipping through my fingers’ by ABBA!

After a day in work, I am spending the evening relaxing by creating a very relaxing video about a daffodil festival in Cornwall that is on this weekend.

I look forward to sharing the video with you on South West Sundays YouTube channel tomorrow.

Hmmm… This isn’t a serious suggestion for a song choice because it’s in the Welsh language, .. I will keep thinking, but the first song about pans that came to mind was Sosban Fach (a very popular Welsh folk song)

The Sosban Fach words mean little saucepan! (It boils on the fire).

I enjoyed visiting #oxford today for some time off.

I met up with a friend and we visited the Weston Library to view a really fascinating exhibition about how radio has changed the home since it was first invented.

I have the book about it and this exhibition really brought the book alive.

I make videos from SW England, but I sometimes do vids from other places if I go away.

Y’day I flew to Malaga for a 24 hr trip.
I returned to Bristol this morning.

I hope to bring you 2 videos from this trip … 1 may be tomorrow & it will be a review of some new accommodation near Bristol Airport.

The ‘blue sky’ is there ….. it’s just hiding above all the clouds!

It’s a beautiful day up in the sky!

I have just landed in a very grey Bristol after a beautiful 24 hours in Spain.

More photos in a bit!

I came across this song ‘Swallowed by a whale’ by Enter The Haggis, based on a true story. Here’s a link to it on YouTube. Not sure if you are able to use it though with copyright etc

Oh! This is a nice memory!

Happy World Radio Day!

It was pancake day on this day last year and I made myself a BBC Radio Somerset pancake with blueberries, bananas and cream!

I still really enjoy listening to BBC Radio Somerset 📻
