Infections due to failed stents and catheters cost the #NHS an estimated £2.5bn a year.

Last week, Dr Ali Mosayyebi was on BBC Radio Solent talking about the CASSETTE #ClinicalTrial of a new urinary stent, designed to reduce infections.

It was fantastic to be at the first #HIOWResearchAssembly yesterday and be in a room full of people passionate about #research for patient benefit, listening to the voices of patients and the public, and reducing health inequalities.

And lots of interest in our #ClinicalTrials and the work of SCTU!

Around 12,000 men die from #ProstateCancer in the UK every year.

A new trial, funded by @prostateuk.bsky.social, will look at whether selecting patients who may require more intensive treatment can improve outcomes for those with metastatic disease.

Recruitment to the MODERNISED #EarlyDetection trial is over halfway!
