Abnett’s way of writing death is really fascinating (in Double Eagle and Interceptor City) each one is really clinical but it just had that building sense of dread with each sentence.
A really impersonal way they just shows how the Guard works sometimes.

Seeing all the artists coming over and their styles is starting to remind me I need to finally get a PayPal set up and start getting some commissions of characters I’ve got in my head… wanna give my DnD and Darktide characters some more life.

It’s weird that a game about plastic models got me back into reading physical books.
Started because I saw a tank on the cover and expected Fury but 40k. Now I’m 4/5 deep into an anthology-ish series about the Imperial Guard. Definitely not regretting it.
