Yes, and I’ve seen it causing too much division in families, work places, friends in real life too. We have tribal wiring in our brains, how much we let that rule our lives is a choice we have the luxury to determine in a first world problems way

Online, we are far more reactive to ideas that conflict with our own. In my small town, we get among regardless of politics. There is an important difference, and I’m finding more peace by increasingly tuning out of online rage bait and reactivity.

Also I’m a fence sitter who sees value and merit in a variety of political opinions, which means in debate I can easily anger everyone of every persuasion, including good friends, for my habit of poking at any set ideology. I have my friends in r/t I can do this with for fun, without causing upset.

Not that politics aren’t important. They are. But if setting politics right is what matters to me, I should get involved in r/t politics. But I don’t have time & I’m not organized enough. There’s little sense in spending days being upset & upsetting others being political on the internet though.

In this game, I’m meeting people from all around the world. Most of us stay away from real world politics and I find myself laughing at those who take “kingdom politics” way too seriously, it’s like a funny mirror of myself though
