I agree it’s strange not being able to flip the icons back in dark mode. Best I could do was leave them dark but cause the desktop to not be black by tapping the little sun icon on the upper left.

Sort of reminds me of what I just discovered in my FB settings - That my preference setting for "Low-quality content" was "Default" rather than what any normal person would want "Show less"...
