Oh, yeah, NPC writing is the best. You can do worldbuilding, add a gameplay tip, or just invent a memorable weirdo. Or a whole city of weirdos. It's great.

i take frenzy damage every time i see someone go "well i just use it for the boring stuff". what are you TALKING about? if it's boring or unimportant, why are you putting it in? NPC dialogue is fertile ground for worldbuilding, creating verisimilitude, conveying important information, and hijinks!!
Buy a solo indie dev's game because I want to support them.

Spoke with a source who told me the call volume is so high, a call center for both Mastercard & Visa is bringing out pizza and ice cream so agents don’t quite amid the rush. Long waits are causing dropped calls.

The whole entitlement to piracy thing always rubbed me the wrong way. I know it's an expression of frustration against exploitative corps, but it also enables exactly this behavior. If you don't want to pay for it, just move on. Don't pretend you're doing society a service by stealing it.

I was stuck in a "just one more mission" loop last night and played maybe 3 hours more than I originally intended to. Great combat and customisation, and just about the right amount of granularity for me (bit more than modern XCOM but not as hardcore as actual hardcore mech/sim games)

I was stuck in a "just one more mission" loop last night and played maybe 3 hours more than I originally intended to. Great combat and customisation, and just about the right amount of granularity for me (bit more than modern XCOM but not as hardcore as actual hardcore mech/sim games)

After getting the urge to start another XCOM 2 playthrough yesterday I noticed that @phantombrigade Phantom Brigade just dropped their 2.0 update a couple days ago and I'm happy to report it scratches that itch for me and more. The 1.0 launch back then was great but this is a way deeper game
