Labor's climate and AUKUS decisions prove Australia is a fossil fuel-addicted US protectorate
On defence and climate, the Albanese government can only double down on policies that clearly aren't working. It appears incapable of understanding the real challenges Australia faces.

Albo is breaking the moral contract with voters
It seems impossible that the Coalition could hope to win government with policies more popular than Labor’s over the next two terms of parliament.

The price of coal and gas is down

Actually, so too Australia's exported volumes of coal and gas

Meanwhile Australia accumulated no significant or lasting benefit from the massive profits of the fossil extractors in the last few years, and now that value in decline

The head of the NACC, Paul Brereton, may be a decent man, but he is desperately out of his depth as the head of this large, multi-faceted, public-facing, modern, public service organisation.

His disastrous performance this afternoon in the Senate hearing underlines that in very clear detail.

Paul Brereton in today's #NACC public hearing:

"Adding a stamp of corrupt conduct ... to conduct already exposed by the Royal Commission would add no public value. That was our thinking, or my thinking"

Then how could he put out a public statement saying he wasn't involved in any decision making?
