Can’t see a thing through the complete overcast in my neighborhood in L.A., so I’m doing stolen aurora valor with a pic from my dad in Camarillo (Ventura County, California).

HB 1312 also prohibits employers from taking retaliatory actions against employees for “disclosing or threatening to disclose in good faith a violation of the Illinois Bivens Act,” amending the Whistleblower Act.

According to the bill, retaliation includes contacting — or threatening to contact — immigration authorities, or reporting an employee’s or their family member’s immigration or citizenship status to any federal, state or local agency, the bill states.

This is the one point that I’d take issue with. It’s not a “hopeful sign” that Trump hasn’t ignored Supreme Court rulings — at least not the rulings of the *current* Court. He hasn’t needed to.
They’ve done everything to accommodate him, including ignoring precedent.

It is a hopeful sign that he has not ignored the Supreme Court, and the court may yet block his most blatant power grabs. Still, the court’s reluctance to restrain him appears to have emboldened him to sidestep lower court orders he does not like.

Trolling is easy. Any idiot can post something offensive and get a reaction. What’s hard is actually governing. They’ve given up on that part entirely, and they’re desperately trying to convince everyone—including themselves—that this performance is actually a demonstration of strength rather than an admission of complete incompetence at the actual job.

However, Salient editor Richard Y. Rodgers defended the piece, saying that Army “did not intentionally quote Adolf Hitler, nor did any member of our editorial staff recognise the resemblance prior to publication”.

"The article was a meditation on how nations and cultures preserve coherence in an age of rootless cosmopolitanism and global homogenisation. To confuse a defence of belonging for a manifesto on exclusion is a fault of the reader, not the writer.”

In the video, he also lashed out at “family friends” because they had “decided to take the article and spread it around to everyone that we know.” He lobbed anti-gay slurs at them and said he wouldn’t forget how they’d treated him.

“I know you think I’m the only one that’s going to pay,” he said. “It’s not true. Because, sooner or later, when we win, these scores are all going to get settled.”

I went with some pollinator-friendly flowers, catnip, and cat grass instead. And built a catio.
