I wrote about D'lagan's matchmaker shenanigans during xivwrite2014. Here's a lil snippit of D'lagan's reasoning about it.
“Are you certain this was the best way to handle things?” Alphinaud peered curiously at D’lagan as the pair sat out on the benches on the furthest end of the docks that stretched along the For’ard Cabins.  “No,” D’lagan answered honestly, watching the distant yol and the pair riding the sea breezes atop it.  “Then why–” “I was never going to make Koana happy,” D’lagan interrupted, before Alphinaud could complete the thought. “I can’t stay forever. I don’t want to stay forever. I’ll break his heart over and over or worse. After what he’s been through, he deserves someone that will stay close and not leave him feeling abandoned all the time.” “I see… So you think your Oronir friend is better suited, then?” D’lagan glanced to the moon, just beginning to peek over the waters as evening fully set in. “If they give each other a chance, he won’t find anyone more dependable.”

This is on Q'hahtoa, my first character, who I continued to log into intermittently over the years, even if I didn't get fully into FFXIV until I made D'lagan and WoW lost its chokehold on me.

My favorite type of screenshot to take, the "dps waiting for big story trial queue". My second WoL Tharn (who takes the WoL space in my head in D'lagan's nonwol AU) is making steady progress through MSQ. They're getting pretty close to Dawntrail!

Sami'a was the vendor during the 2022 All Saint's Wake that I decided to adopt and now he's free to explore as he pleases (and why he hasn't been seen working since). Malrin ended up enamored with heroes and the praise they earn and tries really hard to be heroic, even if he doesn't quite get how.

I decided that my dear Q'hahtoa needed a universal glam to cover up the fact that I'm about to shove her in the suffering through every single job to 100 for a mount grinder. She's got a long way to go but she deserves a lil robot guy.

I have the most aggressive brainworms for this fucking bunny of mine. Someone keeps dropping little bits recently that he keeps picking up and now I've got a white mage with a desire to exert his will over other healers.

Because it's on my mind now, have one of the little snippets I wrote for a FFXIVwrite prompt a couple years back regarding the relationship between S'eri and S'aen. The "trouble" S'eri is referring to is the fact that S'aen often took out all his aggression on D'lagan. S'aen makes excuses about it.
The lion’s den. That was what he called this place, tucked deep within the craggy cliffs his tribe called home. It was hot and reeked of dust, sunlight blazing and baking over the crack. To either side, sisters swept away from his gaze, making their point well-known. He was not welcome here. No, not he, a reminder of the old ways. Cerulean eyes closed for a moment, then glanced down to his little companion, a bright spot of yellow that dared to compete with the sun with its radiance. It stared back up at him, waiting for the command that would send it to battle. S’aen shook his head. Not this time. He took a few steps further, into the place he hated most. “Put it away, brother,” came the demand, the moment he ducked under the heavy cloth that covered the door to the Nunh's home. “You and I both know what will happen if you challenge me.” Draped across his plush rugs and cushions, the half-dressed Nunh didn’t even bother to stand, or properly greet. He regarded the Tia, golden gaze harsh, and judgmental.  S’aen glared back, but obeyed, midnight tail behind him thrashing and giving away his agitation as the carbuncle squeaked its dismay, and disappeared in a puff of aether and sparkles. The gold softened. “I’ve received word you’ve been harassing people in the city, again,” S’eri’s tone shifted from demanding, to concerned, his low baritone easily filling the room, despite the many soft adornments that covered nearly every surface in some fashion. “Why do you insist on causing us trouble?” “It isn’t trouble,” S’aen started with a roll of his eyes. “If you’d seen how bad it’s gotten there yourself, maybe you’d understand why I have to fight.” “You have one job, to secure our trade so that we might stand a chance of rebuilding after S’luma’s disastrous plan nearly obliterated us. Or have you forgotten?” S’eri rolled to his feet, the motion so fluid as to suggest the miqo’te were as much liquid as solid muscle. “Our sire died to secure our future, I will not see you waste it.” His face pulled into a snarl, pressed nearly to the taller miqo’te’s. S’aen drew back.  “We’re not the only ones driven to ruin,” he snapped back, ears folded down and disappearing into mussed raven hair. “Why can’t you see that? Why won’t you listen?”  “No, Aen, it is you who does not listen. Our sisters and daughters are thriving. We are growing again. Your stubborn refusal to accept change will continue to blind you to our successes. As long as you continue to believe in a flawed system of hate, you will never become more than what you are now.” He turned away, to flop back onto his comfortable bed, while S’aen stood there, seething.  “Release him from your heart, brother. Embrace your new role in this tribe, or forever remain the pawn of someone that will never give you the approval you so desperately seek.” He lifted a hand, waving him away, effectively dismissing him.  S’aen snarled, and turned on his heel, stomping out with a huff, ever resolved to usurp his seemingly soft and ignorant brother from his seat. S’eri simply watched him go, the gold of his eyes flashing in the low light.

S'eri Nunh, the youngest brother of three but who proved himself over the previous Nunh. He and his tribe are relatively reclusive, prowling the outskirts of Eastern Thanalan, slowly rebuilding following the devastation of both the Calamity, and other troubles.

I rarely post any of mine but here's one of 'em! We've got Nova my beloved Oronir goober that often looks mean but he's not at all, just a little soft and smushed under the pressure he puts on himself to uphold the extraordinarily high standards set by Magnai as a shepherd of the Steppe.

I'm picking away at this one slowly. It descends quite rapidly into very nsfw territory.
"Raha." D'lagan peered at the other redhead from the doorway, eyeing the way the other had hardly moved from his place at the table, poring over his reports exactly the way he been when he left bells earlier. An ear flicked in response, but ruby eyes remained fixed on their task. D'lagan shook his head. G'raha might as well be in another world. He entered the room fully, scythe set beside the door with a heavy metallic thump, and walked over to the table.

In his defense, I've never really drawn it as the mullet properly, and he got fluffier over time. ICly the explanation is that D'feydra thought he looked like a slob letting his hair slowly grow more wild and took shears to his head in an effort to make him seem more presentable to the public.

A character chart about D'lagan Tia. It's mostly an ooc side sort of chart, with a dynamic image of D'lagan in the center with his reaper scythe using Soulsow. On the left side is a table with his name, Crystal DC, miqo'te, and an all clear under every expansion highlighted. Play style includes leveling, pvp, maps, gathering and crafting, making gil, hunts, drawing and roleplay. Play time is all day every day, but entirely random. I'm a complete mess with my login times okay. On the right hand side the main job highlighted is Reaper, with extreme and savage also highlighted. All battle jobs, gathering and crafting jobs are highlighted.

I think the closest we got is slouchy miqo stance after trial boss. He NEVER stands like that. It fucked him up somehow. But then it's not even acknowledged. Taking this scrap of food and running with it I guess.

Horse daughter that reminds me of my cat son make the horrors less awful in the morning. I doubt I would have continued to play this game as much as I have if I hadn't pulled her in my initial wtf am I doing fumbling.

D'lagan's eyes are one of my favorite features of his, so I decided to bust out the colored pencils. Idk digital art seems too daunting these days. But pencils felt good, so pencils it is.

D'lagan's real good at keeping people at arm's length and it shows. I had to add an extra color because there's some impossible to ignore baggage in this catboy's relationships. :)
