Hell is empty and all the devils are here. Mom of two beautiful trans humans, singer, knitter, no fucks left to give. I'm here with all the dire predictions. Music industry professional, lifelong progressive. Dorothy Dunnett super fan.
And many of us out here drive for work we're not just taking cabs from place to place.

It's great to know you are surrounded by people who care about you in real life as well as out here in the void. ❤️

The whole point of university is, generally, to teach you to be a better writer, unless you've just hard leaned into a STEM field and then decided you didn't need to take any worthwhile writing courses. Which is also why a lot of smarter people are saying it's not *that* bad.

I'm pretty new to car buying as we've been driving cars very close to their deaths for most of our lives. I drive for work a lot so I finally needed something that wouldn't fall apart and had cargo space. The rest of the fam drives beaters. Mine is a used, low mileage hybrid.

New-to-me is better value than New. But of course I have never had a new car. I guess that would be fun? But only if the cost did not affect me at all. Which will never be true.

I could retire anytime if not for housing and healthcare. First chance to consider it will be 65 when I can get Medicare if it still exists.

I listened to a financial podcast where they said a net worth under $100k, you're just getting by, better or worse. When you hit $100k you stop calculating pennies at the grocery store, but that's really the only change. I agree with that.

Child care costs are brutal. We never would have made it if I couldn't have freelanced from home.
