One hour sleep last night - just too many unconscionable things going on in the world - but I take back my old lady remark, as my tablet camera is vague and kind.

My 20+ year-old refrigerator, which I insist upon thinking of as pretty new, now periodically spews water from the freezer down into the fridge. A quart yogurt container catches and refreezes most of it, and sometimes I remember to check and empty it. So much accidental beauty in the world!

It was a treat to get to hear Vieux Farka Touré live! I'm not much of a jam fan, but this was a fun show anyway.

People in Taos, New Mexico showed up on the 4th of July and had thoughts and feelings about what's going on in the nation. Another favorite was "Think while it's still legal."

I just ran across a post I put up on Tumblr 5 or 6 years ago. This was part of it, and it still resonates.

I didn't buy a home computer until I knew I was leaving my job at Carnegie Mellon. I still have this and it works! I love how MS Word only takes up something like 50k in storage.

Glad to be here as opposed to being stuck in the cesspool, and it's been a great opportunity to reassess my relationship with social media.
