Just look at the vibrant colours of these marbled endpapers!

They can be found in our copy of ‘Cartas erudítas, y curiosas’ by Benito Jerónimo Feijoo (1777).

On Saturday we were very pleased to welcome members of the British Astronomical Association, who hired our Blue Room for their meeting.

We dug out some treasures from our science section for their visit, including Richard Proctor's 'The moon' (1873), which includes these stunning lunar landscapes.

This 'Plan of the City and Suburbs of Exeter' dates back to 1765 and is from Benjamin Donn's 'Map of the County of Devon'.

It was the first entirely new survey of Devon since the one undertaken by Christopher Saxton in the 16th century.
