5th Cir., 2-1, holds that a Texas university likely violated an LGBT+ student group's speech rights when it cancelled their drag show and then banned drag from campus.

Importantly, finds drag is expression protected by the First Amendment.

For those who once again missed the memo:

No, liberals are not “the party of tolerance.“ We are the party of compassion, of inclusion, of the Constitution & yes, of government by the people, for the people.

And like our founders, we have run out of tolerance for those who piss on these things.

It is legally impossible to deport citizens. This is not deportation. Removing citizens to foreign prisons, knowing to a certainty that they will be subjected to treatment that violates the U.S. constitution, doesn’t deserve any label that connotes legal legitimacy.

Thinking about our throw-away culture. I noticed that the metal wear strip on our snow shovel is worn away, so went to buy a replacement to repair it. Almost nobody had one. Not Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace, True Value, etc. Finally a search located one at a store I’d never before heard of.

Probably everybody knows this but me, but ... I was looking for a place online to order vitamins that I would have ordered from Amazon. I discovered that you can purchase from #Costco online without a membership! I had to pay a 5% surcharge, which was around $1. It was free shipping, too!

Donors & Supporters of Trump & Project 2025 -

If you can avoid giving them your money, please do.

I know, it's a drop in the bucket, probably doesn't do a damned bit of good - but you never know.

The Target DEI boycott seems to be having an effect - shareholders are bitching, anyway. 😈

I really really need you guys to make a conscious rejection of generative AI tools part of your ongoing political resistance.

Don't use ChatGPT. Turn off Gemini. Don't read the AI results forced upon you at the top of Google search. Don't use AI art generators or support anyone who does. Please.
Oh please please i am begging, don't use generative AI for any reason if you can avoid it.

It's being marketed as a quick time-saver, but it's messy, inaccurate, it is putting entire industries of people out of work, and the environmental impacts (energy and water usage) are huge and debilitating.
