Americans for Democracy. Political hobbyist turned activist. Unapologetically Liberal.
I've found some astounding success in irl groups recently. Posting on nextdoor and facebook has ended up with me and another women running a group with over 90 people attending!

There are so many people that want to know they're not alone even in red districts like mine.

We need the entire bulwark there.

They're never trump republicans.

I'm here to tell you that Social Democrats like myself also criticize the hammer and sickle. That we're tired of having the progress we make purity tested by the sorts of people to put the hammer and sickle in their names/bios.

The people who do so are an anchor around the neck of progress.

My point is that communists and socialists don't have a monopoly on ways forward that are ethical and good.

You're characterization of a criticism of the hammer and sickle as neoliberal shows me that you associate anyone critical of it as a neolib.

Please explain to me what "adam smith propaganda" is. I'd love to know what you're referring to.

The mall of America is a bit different from most malls, though.

Everyone needs to shop at least once a year. Making the MoA your destination can make it a fun way to spend an afternoon together with family.

Yea, but, chemical weapons. Like.. even with america bad why aren't they just disowning Assad?

What about America bad is so important it justifies chemical weapons?
November 30, 2024 at 1:13 AM
Outside of self inflicted brain damage I have no way to explain how someone could look at Assad and see anything but a monster.

How can you defend someone using chemical weapons? This should be a deal breaker for anyone.

If we listened to you politicians would never promise anything. They'd never say what their policy intentions are.

Sounds like a pretty dumb system. Think about the implications of the nature of your criticism deeply.
November 30, 2024 at 12:59 AM
Yea, campaign promises are all promises to try. If you don't understand that. That's on you, not the promise.

Nobody expects a pre written bill in a campaign promise. They expect the political to attempt to get it down and do their best. Biden can't just ignore the Supreme court.

There's so much we did, you need to stop being a doomer just because we lost.
November 30, 2024 at 12:46 AM
Committing to the withdrawal from Afghanistan, something Obama and trump failed to do.

Supporting Ukraine in their defense against invasion.

Doing what they can to restrain Israel, such as resuming the flow of aid to gaza when Israel restricts it illegally, air dropping aid in gaza.

Billions invested in our failing and collapsing infrastructure.

Science and manufacturing subsidies and loans keeping us at the forefront of technology and the top of the value chain.

Unheard of levels of foreign cooperation in Asia. India/Philippines/japan/korea/australia/ etc working together.
November 30, 2024 at 12:44 AM
And you can list things they failed in, but you don't seem to give any credit for what they did succeed in?

We made MASSIVE gains in addressing climate change under Biden. Just because it didn't make the news doesn't mean that's not fucking historic.
November 30, 2024 at 12:40 AM
The tiktok ban is a good thing. Criticizing the dems for that is ridiculous.

Adversarial foreign countries shouldn't have control over social media to that level. Its a propagandists wet dream.
November 30, 2024 at 12:39 AM
He campaigned on trying, got blocked by the courts, then tried other pathways and forgave billions in debt.

That's what you consider a failure? I call it a damned success. Your standards are whack.
November 30, 2024 at 12:37 AM
You're victim blaming democrats for not fighting hard enough against propaganda instead of fighting against the people pushing the propaganda.

If that isn't your position, you should learn how to phrase your criticism better.
November 29, 2024 at 11:24 PM
Biden tried to relieve student loan debt. That's a fact.

According to your criticism he should have just not mentioned it at all as an issue because he wasnt able to be perfect on it.

You know how regressive that sounds, right?
November 29, 2024 at 11:23 PM
Dems won on policy in every policy based poll.

Maga won based due to vibes based on lies and ignorance. Every incumbent party on the world lost power post covid, and trump won by narrow margins.

Don't overlearn your lessons.
November 29, 2024 at 10:10 PM
I wonder what sort of regime would end up replacing Assad.
