@adampatrickmurray.bsky.social just listened to the latest dual boot diaries and was surprised to hear you considering Mac OS. Because that’s exactly what happened to me. I’ve been on this journey for a year now and got tired of fighting to make things work. Still running Linux on my server though.

It should not have been this hard to get a few smart plugs back in working order. Was it Apple Home’s fault? Matter?

I’ve owned my house now for nine months and I’m still finding really well thought out ideas from the previous owner who did a lot of the wiring and other work himself.

I'm about to switch back to iOS (iPhone 17 Pro) after being on Android (Galaxy S24 Ultra) for the last two years. Lots of thoughts about it with plenty of pros and cons for both.

Here is a scenario I would love AI to help with. When do I need to get an oil change? If i could ask any assistant to tell me when the last time i got an oil change was (by using old calendar events or the pdf of the receipt) and how many kilometers I have left before I need another.

It's a hell of a sad day that I can now identify a lot of stuff on r/whatisit. Not because I'm knowledgeable but because I'm old.
