I stayed up all night trying to figure out how to explain my politics to people and the conclusion I’ve come to is I’m a Social Democrat (but not a Democratic Socialist) and that a core value of mine is Viewpoint Neutrality, at all costs, because the alternative breeds fascism which is worse.

I honestly don’t know how so many people who purported to be against identity politics are still supporting the Trump administration. That’s the most confusing part of this whole thing to me.

The best thing about doing so many pencil sketches is that sometimes if I just wanna ink and color I can find a bunch of half finished works to complete.

Can anyone on #artsky give suggestions for YouTube tutorials, books, etc that can help me learn to draw really good backgrounds/landscapes? I use copic markers, colored pencils, and procreate the most frequently, and also have access to acrylic paint. I mostly draw colorful animals.

Been layering Copic markers and Caran D’Ache Geneve watercolor pencils. It’s still just birds, though.

For all of the good on Bluesky, I keep getting recommended a dog account with a LOT of posts about sad and dead dogs. Like, pictures of people with their dogs as they’re being put down. I eventually blocked it, but TIL sincere posts about dying dogs are way harder for me than antisemitic trolls.
