My orbit is cider (of the Treehorn variety), Sadie Pup, Tigress Murderball, family that are friends, and friends that are family. Plus books & travel.
You can find good recipes lots of places, but look no further for safety tips, repeatedly. Hubs worked for a butcher, and cures lots of meats at home

Hello in mast year from Georgia! (10 days collection just from driveway and street directly in front of house, third such gathering, and three trash cans full sent down the back hill) #acorns

So in love with this little guy. If you need a book lover gift, or want to start a book club but can’t be bothered with the mechanics, check out Lit Lover Bundles on Etsy or insta! I’ve been reading with the maker for 20+ years and she’s SO good at this. #booksky

My husband is back in cooking form, after a painful surgery break. (Not pictured: perfectly cooked ribeye, and farm box corn done with the lightest touch of butter and onion). The simple joy of summer produce!

Incredible exhibit Threads of Change at Museum of Design ATL, highlight of the weekend for sure. Scientific data interpreted through fiber arts. If you have the chance to see any work by Sandra Sawatsky, Christine/Margaret Wertheim, Adrian Baker, Nathalie Miebach or Bonnie Peterson, do so!

Handsome elder cat roaming the garden is a universal vibe. Here is Eddie (at almost 18 in 2021)

Iris time is my favorite time! Herbs are in pots, the dianthus is rocking, tomorrow we’re gonna try rose propagation for the first time. Don’t mind the street detritus, we are heavy into the pollening. #bloomscrolling

Are there super strict double merle standards? We always assumed our pup is one, got her at the pound. She’s actually done pretty well over her 12 years, went deaf relatively early but her sight seems to have fared better. Really this is just an excuse to post a photo of her. She says, “Hi Finn!”

Cemented my belief that Radiohead had a 90s - mid 2010s marketing strategy of teen girl indoctrination. Fake Plastic Trees? Come on man, it wasn't even my first Radiohead, but you would have had 16 YO me for life with just that.

Can you still get them??? This is one of our most prized possessions, husband worked at Cartoon Network years ago.

This Hiroshige woodblock print made its way back into our home after 20 years, we have all the feels. It’s probably not worth much, but it’s all tied up with my partner’s memories of his grandparents house. His parents gave it to him (for the second time) today for his 46th birthday.

YES! Shout-out to these fantastic rose gold paperclips. Bought them for a food pairing event at our tasting room, then decided I deserved delightful paperclips every day. Came in a cute lil tin that makes me happy every time I open my desk drawer. May your day be filled with fun paperclips!

People HAVE to stop making up words. There are at least three (!) types of vajacials.

Enjoyed the sunset, and the deck, and the perfectly cool evening weather, while working on a Mother’s Day present. #stitchsky

Started cross stitching again after a 15-year absence. Used the thread colors I had on hand since this piece is to get back in a groove with technique. Of course, I’m mad my technique isn’t perfect, which is silly. What to do with it once I’m done? DMC pattern PAT0164.

It’s not weird to have 2.5# containers of cinnamon in your dark pantry bulk spice storage right? RIGHT? Restaurant Depot is chaos but spices in bulk wheeeeeeeeeee #spicesky #spiceposting

I’ve had this printout in a pantry for 20 years and still refer to it.

Frequency of use, proximity to location needed, then chaos within those bounds. Photos don’t include the baking shelf, the pickling spice cabinet, two shelves of dark pantry bulk spice storage, or vinegar/oil shelf. Or the tea shelf, if we’re counting. 😬 we might have a situation here. #spicesky

Puzzles are therapy. Just let the pieces tell you where they belong. Don’t think, just puzzle.
