KAMEN RIDER GAIM: this is def my favorite rider show that ive seen all the way through now, its so GOOD
the plot and characters are so well done and well paced in this show, every episode i just got drawn deeper into the drama. this is probably one of the more varied rider casts and it rocks

EVIL DEAD II: i love that this one goes utterly bonkers with the ultra gory basis that the first one set, it makes this such a bizzarly comedic movie. i did feel a bit of disconnect between the slapstick and the horror elements admittedly but its still great. i gotta watch more raimi movies

ALIENS: first time actually seeing this one... despite the stark contrast to the og tonally id still probably put it on equal footing, its really great. i can def see the bones of a lot of modern action movies in this one but that doesnt detract from how good it is. ripley is awesome

OVER THE GARDEN WALL (REWATCH): this one really does just continue to hold up so well. i think the only thing that doesnt hold as much water is that all of these have to be exactly 11 minutes (leading to some eps feeling a little rushed) but yeah i still adore this one

TRICK OR TREAT SCOOBY-DOO!: this might be the single best Scooby-doo production ive seen maybe. i havent seen a lot of these direct to dvd scooby specials but this one is such a good time, its got a rlly fun premise and great gags and animation. the plot drags a little at times but i def recommend

GARFIELD'S HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE: this one was pretty good... the first half is a bit sleepy (in a good way) but the tonal/art direction whiplash that happens when they get to the haunted house is so good

HALLOWEEN IS GRINCH NIGHT: never seen this one but was intrigued. its a little bit boring i think but i do kinda like how this special is like, the grinch being a shithead for no good reason. also that one bit of animation near the end is incredible

i hear people talk about this one a lot so i decided to see pop it on and i liked it! :] it was cute and surprisingly funny. i kinda love how they play up the whole "monster roomates throwing a party" angle its not what id expect from this. skully is awesome

ALIEN (REWATCH): first in my servers halloween marathon... second time seeing this one and yeah its still great. the practical effects are so damn good in this one man this movie looks so great. only downside i can think of is that the titular alien is the most scary at the start but it still rules
