If you accuse me of wanting to look morally superior when I say a political party or person did something bad, then you're just admitting that I'm right about them doing something bad.
I need to point out that the poll asked if they have a favorable, unfavorable, or unknown ✨OPINION✨ not if the historical figures themselves were unknown. I also don't know if my opinion of most ancient historical figures is favorable or not, even when I've heard of them.
Cleopatra is the single most popular ancient figure* among Americans. Big potential support base for the "attractive maniac" candidate

* they didn't poll for Jesus, but to be fair I suspect he'd take the crown.

Gaza is nearly 3 times smaller than Hiroshima, and Israel dropped ~200,000 tonnes of explosives, equivalent of ~14 ATOMIC BOMBS, on Gaza in 2 years.

I have issues with framing competition as inherently good, but I really appreciate addressing the claim that boys need more male role models and subjects catered to 'boy interests'. That just reinforces the idea that boys can't and shouldn't have female role models.
"the issue isn’t that we need more 'boy-friendly' reforms. It’s that boys are socialized to compete only with boys and to read girls’ success as illegitimate or emasculating. The result is dissonance, resentment, and disengagement for boys—and hostile climates for girls."

"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor of the House of Representatives, and we know that's the case."

This is a flat-out 100% lie from @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social and he knows it. Impeachment resolutions are privileged, they can force a vote at any time.
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

Do we really think the student with the transphobic essay wouldn't have claimed discrimination if she'd gotten anything less than an A, but more than a 0? Obviously not. The essay deserved a 0.
December 1, 2025 at 6:39 PM
1. It wasn't in essay format. (No thesis, arguments with evidence, conclusion.)
2. There were 0 citations. For it to be a proper response the student needed arguments with empirical citations because it was a psychology class.
3. It was offensive to call human beings demonic.
When you read the essay, it isn’t obvious to me that it isn’t responsive to the prompt. The design of the question invited a very diverse set of responses. I suspect it could’ve integrated the assigned reading more, but 0/25 and a comment about being “offensive” screams viewpoint discrimination.

I lost my job in February and I was unable to be there for his birthday this year.

This essay is atrocious from the metrics of an essay. There's no thesis nor conclusion, no citations, and the points are stream of consciousness - not organized into paragraphs. Favorite part from the story is that the student says she didn't know empirical sources were required in a psych class.

I do not support all artists. Some of you hacks are very dumb.

(I'm agreeing with OP.)
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

Once again asking everyone what, specifically, generative AI is supposed to increase efficiency in? Because we keep being told it will but not how. This article even shows that all evidence indicates there's no efficiency gains, and yet it ends assuming that these gains will show up someday.
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy
Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening

Executives think work is reading and replying to emails, because that's all they do other than lunch meetings and golf. And they don't want to even read emails.
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
