Both my parents are sorta "hipster" so I have some detrimental gaps in pop culture knowledge. But, my dad showed me Ghost in the Shell (1993) and I think that was a keystone for me becoming an animator.

I met Ronald Regan in a park once and he said I was cute. But I was a toddler and he had Alzheimer’s so I didn’t get the chance to tell him how much I dislike his policies.

I told my friend once: If you're looking for answers to questions you don't have because you just feel like there are things you don't know, that's anxiety not learning. You gotta work until you have a question, even though it means messing up, because that's how you find the right questions.

The kākāpō is also another great example of an animal that was brought back from extinction and whose numbers are growing through conservation efforts. There were just 51 of these in the 1990s, and now there are 244 today!
