The race right now. Taylor is behind bc of the UC points from Dec'24, which he won't be able to get back by Dec'25. Which wouldn't matter if YE#1 is defined by live rankings at the end of the ATP Finals, but I thought it was the ranking at the end of the last week of December. VERY confused. 😄

I agree. She was the queen of clay and now she's performing her best on grass and fast(er) hardcourts. Change can look bumpy, but consistency will come. I think it will all click together in 2026. How it'll match against Aryna, Amanda, maybe others, everyone will try to raise their level, we'll see.

Maybe we agree from diff perspectives. All I'm saying is that yes, she dismissed many opponents quickly, but she was not as dominant as her fame as a baker implies. For 2y she was underperforming (for a top player) at 3 slams. There was room to grow before Aryna became a force or Amanda came back.

Whatever came first, the chicken or the egg, it must've been a trigger, but she doesn't like change, so I don't think it was impulsive. I know it's a simple view but her slam performances show she had a lot of room to grow, and there's clearly been some change. Maybe in 2026 it'll all come together.

Carlos is not the kind of guy who thrives on getting loads of matches under their belt like Fritz, Zvermin, or even Sinner to an extent. He's not built for the tour hamster wheel, he needs breaks. And since April in particular, he played SO. MUCH. TENNIS. Idk. We'll see. ☺️

I agree. They need to assert he's healthy only bc anyone with eyes and ears can see he doesn't have much energy, and is even less sound of mind. It's only going to decline faster now, it's life. But we'll keep hearing glowing reports of his health, and maybe that he's aced another cognitive test. 🙄
